No matter what you do, sometimes you run into failure and need a boost to motivate yourself and get back on track. Here are three fairly simple ways to overcome obstacles.
You have made the decision to make a contribution to your life, you have clearly defined what you want to achieve or experience, and you have given yourself the means to achieve it. But to your dismay, you are now facing an out of print episode! I'm talking about motivation. Yes, that motivation, which was feeding your momentum, and which has just taken a hit. The reason? An obstacle, a failure, a misfortune or perhaps the feeling that you are not living up to your ambitions. It's a pity to experience failure badly. There is so much to gain from it. So here are some ways to get back on track when you're losing momentum.
THE POWER OF THOUGHT
Always remember your original intention. You knew that the journey would involve trial and error, but you went ahead anyway, because you really believed in your idea. So the question to ask yourself is, "Do I really want it? ». If so, keep believing it is possible, keep believing you will succeed. What you believe, of you and your abilities, has the power to get you where you think you need to be. Your thoughts are a driving force. Become aware of your thoughts and, since they can serve you as well as harm you, forge them wisely.
So regain confidence. Failure is not the end of your aspirations. You should not be afraid of it. Rather, you should see it as a springboard. It's a lesson learned that will enrich you, strengthen your skills and propel you forward.
"I never lose, I either win or learn."
Nelson Mandela
TAKE SMALL STEPS
When I feel out of fuel, it's often because I feel like I'm climbing a mountain. The elevation seems so high to me that I am discouraged. It seems to me that I will never have the strength to reach the top. I know that I have to keep going to succeed, but my heart is not in it. I block and I lose courage because I look at the whole work to be accomplished. Over time, I have come to understand that it is better to focus on each step of the journey. Once the path is cut into sections, I'm no longer afraid of the magnitude of the task because I'm moving forward in small steps. Then I regain confidence and persevere.
"With small steps we travel the same distance as with a long stride."
Serge Desjardins
THOSE CHORUSES THAT GIVE ME BACK ENERGY
One of the elements of success is to have a positive state of mind, but also to be in an environment that will foster motivation. For my part, I stimulate myself by listening to songs that reinforce my breathless motivation. I have listed three songs that I sing the chorus of when I need to be energized and I assure you that it works. For each one, I have attached an excerpt in which I sing along with the artist. I'm not a good singer, so don't be too strict with me.
TRY AGAIN - Aaliyah
If at first you don't succeed (first you don't succeed),
Dust yourself off, and try again
You can dust it off and try again, try again
Cause if at first you don't succeed (first you don't succeed),
You can dust it off and try again, dust yourself off and try again, try again
YOU CAN GET IT IF YOU REALY WANT - Jimmy Cliff
You can get it if you really want
You can get it if you really want
You can get it if you really want
But you must try, try and try, try and try
You'll succeed at last
TRY - Pink
Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame
Where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned
But just because it burns, doesn't mean you're gonna die
You gotta get up and try, and try, and try
Gotta get up and try, and try, and try
You gotta get up and try, and try, and try
"There is no easy success, nor definitive failures."
Marcel Proust
